הכנס את התקליטור שיצרת והפעל מחדש את המחשב. ודא שהוא מוגדר להתחיל מהתקליטור. רוב המחשבים יעשו זאת באופן אוטומטי, אבל אם לא, לחצו על F8 בזמן שהוא מתחיל לבחור אפשרויות אתחול. כאשר תתבקש, בחר את הכונן הקשיח החיצוני USB להתקנת Windows XP.
